Green Pulse Energy Ltd is a team with extensive knowledge, and expertise, within the ever-growing renewable energy sector if you are looking at installing solar PV.
We work with a number of world-leading manufacturers which ensures that the roof or ground-mounted panel system you choose and the quality of our products are at a premium, helping you to utilise your solar energy to reduce your energy bills. Saving you money and making savings on your electricity bills.
We also help our customers reduce their carbon footprint through Solar Power!
Green Pulse Energy Limited is a certified installer under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme (MCS) which is a nationally recognised assurance scheme that insists that we provide every customer with a top-quality service throughout each installation.
Since a change in legislation in April 2008, the installation of solar panels has been deemed ‘permitted development’ and therefore planning permission IS NOT required, unless the building is listed, or in a conservation area. Being in a conservation area does not in itself stop you from an installation.
If you are looking to generate your own electricity power and want to discuss the cost and benefits of solar installations and/or solar battery storage (roof or ground-mounted solar energy systems) for either Domestic or Commercial Solar Panels please do not hesitate to contact our solar panel installation team today.
What are Domestic home solar panels?
Solar electricity panels, also known as photovoltaics (PV), capture the sun’s energy and convert it into electricity that you can use in your home. Solar PV panels are made from photovoltaic cells, grouped together in modules.
Since solar power energy is a renewable resource, by installing solar power panels you can generate your own renewable electricity.
How do home solar PV cells work?
Solar PV system cells are made from layers of semi-conducting material, usually silicon. When light shines on the panel, electrons are released, creating a flow of electricity. The cells don’t need direct sunlight to work as they can work on a cloudy day, however, the stronger the sunshine, the more electricity you generate.
Solar cells are grouped into modules, and modules usually grouped into solar arrays – modules and arrays come in a variety of shapes and sizes which are fitted on your roof or ground-mounted system.
The electricity generated is direct current (DC), whereas the electricity you use for household appliances is alternating current (AC). An inverter is installed with the system to convert DC electricity to AC that you can use.
